Service Doors

Steel Service Doors

Overhead Door Corporation service doors are long-lasting and reliable. Every door is custom computer designed to fit your specific requirements, ensuring smooth performance that matches the application's demands.

With the industry's widest array of slat profiles, curtain materials and colors, Overhead Door Corporation can accommodate virtually any design specification and aesthetic consideration. Standard slats are roll-formed, galvanized steel. Optional aluminum and stainless steel slats, as well as ventilated (perforated or fenestrated) slats, are also available. All service doors can be mounted on the face of the wall, and medium- to heavy-duty doors can also be mounted between the jambs.

Helical torsion springs housed in a steel pipe barrel provide the door's counterbalance, and an accessible tension wheel permits easy adjustment of spring tension. Spring assemblies are computer designed to effectively counterbalance the door for a standard 20,000 cycles, and Overhead Door Corporation computer-matches the motor operator to each door's counterbalance system for precision operation and long life. High-cycle springs are also available for special usage operation.

Push-up, chain-hoist, crank or motor operation is available for all service door series. A sensing edge on the bottom bar is recommended for all motor-operated doors. A wide variety of optional radio controls are also available.

A protective hood shields the coiled curtain, counterbalance assembly and system parts against dust and wear, and has stiffening ribs at top and bottom, with intermediate supports as required, to enhance durability.

Overhead Door Corporation also offers a wide range of air infiltration and weather protection options. All service doors are equipped with bottom weatherseal, and optional hood and guide seals can be specified with most service door systems.

Heavy-Duty Insulated Service Doors

Image625 Series offers the most fully insulated (R-7.5) and weatherstripped heavy-duty rolling service doors for all commercial and industrial applications. Curtains consist of interlocking flat-profile slats that are foamed-in-place with CFC-free polyurethane insulation. Standard weatherseals are on the bottom, exterior guides and interior hood.

Heavy-Duty Service Doors

Image620 Series provides a flat slat profile, with standard weatherseals on the bottom, exterior guides and interior hood.

610 Series offers both curved and flat slat profiles, with standard weatherseals on the bottom only.

Medium-Duty Service Doors

Image 616 Series have a flat slat profile, with weatherseals on the bottom, exterior guides and interior hood.

615 Series medium-duty service doors have a curved slat profile, with weatherseals on the bottom only.

Fire Service Doors

ImageOverhead Door Corporation can accommodate virtually any commercial or industrial project requiring a listed fire door assembly for the passage of goods and materials in a rated fire wall, in both masonry and non-masonary applications. Available listings include Underwriters Laboratories 4-hour, 3-hour and 1 1/2 hour labels; Factory Mutual 3-hour and 1 1/2 hour labels; Underwriters Laboratories Canada 3-hour label; and New York City (MEA) and California Fire Marshal's Approval.

Fire-rated doors are available for both vehicular traffic and counter door applications. To comply with NFPA 80, doors are equipped with a fusible link, on both sides of the wall, that automatically releases to close the door at 165 Degrees Fahrenheit, and with a governor that controls the rate of descent. Operation and auto close mechanisms are Factory Mutual tested and approved.

Standard mounting for all fire doors is face-of-wall, with between-jambs mounting optionally available. Upward-expanding guide assemblies allow the door guides to be in contact with the floor, providing a more secure flame barrier and an attractive finished appearance.

Options include UL-listed FireLite ceramic vision panels and UL-listed brush seals for applications that require smoke retardation.
