There are numerous problems associated with conventional mini-blade dampers. Some common weaknesses of conventional dampers are their inability to operate in icing conditions, and their lack of insulating or sealing capabilities in cold climates.
To solve these problems PS Doors has developed several alternatives to standard blade louver system. One system incorporates our time-tested sliding door technology. Another approach utilizes top or bottom pivot ventilation doors.
Both versions of the PS Ventilation Damper Doors utilize welded structural framing for dependable durability, minimal moving parts, and fewer components within the opening to maximize air flow capabilities. Insulated panels are also available when beneficial.
